How do I add the concept of assignment to my requests?

Using the Assigned User field

Step-by-step guide


  1. Locate the Assignee field in the Field List.
  2. The Name field can be changed to meet the specific use in the module.
  3. Ensure the Assignee field is added to the Default form.


The “Assigned User” field is a special field that is like the “Request” field, but instead of a custom lookup list field pulling from the user list, you need to use the Assigned User field. Once set up, the field can be used to email the assignee as shown below.
